The Canadian Journal of Psychiatric Nursing Research is an open access internet Journal and will be published online each September and March. The Journal will be a platform for scholarship, expositions and clinical reviews to provide linkages among the four domains of psychiatric nursing practice, research, teaching and administration.
This dedicated online journal will disseminate original, peer- reviewed, research. We encourage authors within psychiatric nursing, at diploma, post-diploma, baccalaureate and graduate levels, to upload their papers to make them available to a wide audience of psychiatric nurses.
Topics published will include the improvement of patient safety in a variety of mental health settings, patient education and counselling, diagnosis and prescription, current information on clinical topics and ethics in the field of psychiatric nursing.
The scholarly work published by this Journal will help advance the development of psychiatric nursing in Canada.
